Over the past few weeks, visitors from “The Works Skatepark” in Leeds have attended the school to provide cycling lessons to pupils in Year 2. Cycling is a valuable life skill, it is an enjoyable form of exercise and is environmentally friendly. To continue to encourage cycling amongst pupils, we invited the Bradford Capital of Cycling and the Margaret Carey Foundation into school to hold a bike sale. They repair old, unwanted bikes and sell them at a discounted price to people in the local community. Children’s bikes were on sale for between £10 and £30. The Bike sale proved extremely popular, selling all their bikes within minutes.
