On Thursday 2nd December all of Year 2 will be going to The Ledston Estate in Leeds. as part of our science topic around ‘Habitats’. The children will get to take part in lots of fun and exciting activities as part of the visit which include:

• A woodland walk
• making a clay animal
• investigating birds in the winter
• planting a conker in a paper pot they have made themselves and making an origami star.
• making a Christmas Tree Advent Calendar
• making a Robin Christmas Card

The craft activities the children will take part in will use materials found by the children within the woodland area.
We will be leaving school just before 9am therefore children need to arrive at school on time by 8:40am so that we have time to register classes and sort out groupings. We aim to be back at school by 3:20pm.
