What will our historians to be able to do when they leave us?
By the end of their time at MMPS our Year 6 historians will have developed knowledge of local, British and world history and a sense of how events from the past have shaped their future. The children will be learning to learn by asking questions and evaluating sources. They will understand the historical concepts of chronology, change, cause and consequence and similarity and difference. Historical learning experiences at MMPS will inspire our children’s curiosity to know more about the past. We will achieve this through a story telling approach that allows children to use their imagination to connect them to the past. They will orally be able to communicate what they have learnt.
