Physical Education

Our physical education (PE) curriculum consists of two 1 hour sessions per week both indoors and outdoors. We offer our children an experience of a wide range of sports such as; Gymnastics, Dance, Team games including netball, football as well as net games such as tennis. We have also introduced Boccia which is a brand new sport to our curriculum taken from the 2012 Paralympic games.

We have joined with Sports UK which provides our children with the opportunity to participate in both intra and inter sports competitions each term. Last year, year 6 came first in the athletics tournament and our year 3’s brought back the shield for outstanding cooperation. They also provide expert coaches who work with a different year group each term and offer G&T workshops for KS2 throughout the year.

Our main focus within PE is to teach our children to be active, healthy and also how to cooperate with each other as part of a team.

We have teamed up with West Bradford School Games, participating in numerous sporting tournaments throughout the year. This included KS1 multi-sports, indoor athletics, football and tennis. Over the past two years that we have been competing, we have won a number of tournaments including the U11 Girls football who progressed onto the Winter Games competition earlier this year.
